I’m running a Tremec TKX 5spd in my ranger with a dual disc clutch, and ram hd hydro throw out bearing. Which calls for a 3/4 or 7/8 Mc. Well for some reason I can only get at most a quarter inch of movement out of my throw out bearing which isn’t enough to disengage the clutch. I’ve bled the system three times all looked good. I’m running a SS 3an line from MC to throw out and installed a new MC. I’m thinking the stock MC just doesn’t move the volume needed for this throw out bearing. Thoughts?

thanks

I’m wondering if this is an issue with air trapped in the MC. I had read about the proper bleeding procedure and nothing mentioned bench bleeding. But sure seems like I need to do that. The video in the stickies really makes me think that’s the issue

1/4” throw definitely won’t fully disengage the clutch plate. The clutch master cylinder is tilted up at the firewall and air gets trapped there.
A clue is when depressing the clutch, if it takes some travel of the pedal before normal resistance is felt, you probably have air in it.
Youtube has some good videos on the bleeding procedure too.
