Well I decided to try the Treadwright OTR tires. They seem similar to the old BFG muds. Here are a couple of pics. Let me know what you think.

im also goin to be ordering a set here in a couple weeks. for the price, you cant beat it. expecially if there just going on a trail rig. how long did it take for shipping to you? your shipping time should give me an idea since your also in indiana.

retread whows

oh to be you guys as far is i can find oregon does not allow retreads on street legal passenger vehicals, i don't exactly see why not my semi-truck runs all but the 2 steer tires with retreads if i thought i could i'd run some 40" retreads on my lifted 79 250.... oh well such is life..:bawling::bawling:

THose looks pretty nice. And I like how they are on BFG A/T casings. How do they perform?

Yeah dude, they look good. But thats all we can say...lol Was wondering what you thought about them? Handling rain alright? smooth and quite on road? and off roading improvments?

I received them within 5 days from when I ordered them.

Yeah, I went from having BFG A/Ts to having muds on BFG A/Ts.

I like how they look. I haven't driven them down the highway in the rain yet, haven't really drove the truck much last month. I got the ones with Kedge Grip (Ultra Grip) so they are supposed to be alright in the rain. I haven't taken it out in the mud yet, just down some back roads. They do seem to really dig into the rocks though. On the highway you can really hear them hum, I don't think they are overly loud. I didn't had to adjust the volume on the radio......LOL. This is the first set of muds I've owned so I have no reference for comparison. At low speeds you can feel the bigger lugs but at higher speeds it does smooth out. I plan on going down some trails soon to test them out. I'll post more up after that.

Tread looks like kindof a cross between a mud tread and maybe a Procomp AT (it doesn't really resemble the BFG MT pattern).

Did they do away with the Goodyear MT/R-like tread? Or is that just a different version?

That's just a different version, one they've been making for years actually.

The MT/R tread is still available.

One tire in my set of 4 Muds from Treadwright is starting to bulge in a few places...on the tread as well as the sidewall...after 3 years of use. :fie: The tread is nearly gone anyway, but's it's quite the bumpy ride now, although, I think it can be blamed more on the casing, and not the retread itself.

I thought maybe BFGs old mud tires. The outside tread anyway, maybe not the inner tread. They do still have the MT/R like tread. I have noticed that they don't have all the different types in all sizes.

I took these tires through the mud today. They seemed to do pretty well. They are a huge improvement over the A/Ts I used to have. I didn't get as bogged down and they really threw the mud.

i have a set of 31" A/T on the way from treadwrite

The tread pattern actually was based on the old Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers. I would like to get some, but they don't offer them in an aggresive enough tread for me.
