Transfer case removal

Im going to be doing this on my 93 with the auto trans, and will fluid spill everywhere out of the t-case/tranny when I seperate the 2?

it shouldn't spill anything. I know mine doesn't spill anything.
It's not that bad really to drop it out, be careful... I just lay under it and hold it up with my arms and lower it down on my chest, it is heavy.. so be careful, but it can be done like this.

the last two I pulled were bolted to manual transmissions each dumped a few ounces of fluid when split. not much at all.
