93 xlt 4.0 replaced radiator and trans cooler line snapped off leaving nothing to connect a piece of rubber hose. Any one have this problem called around no one carries the line haven't found fitting either any one got a hillbilly fix idea

Use an aftermarket cooler; bypass the rad.

Or find a junkyard one, lots of trucks come with towing packages.

Sent from the road while ignoring traffic

Thanks for the ideas got rubber trans cooler hose 3/8 fittings from lowes some hose clamps and cut a 4in section of metal brake line and did some MaCGyver work and presto she works no leaks. This is only temporary though new problem truck has bern ran in about 2 or 3 weeks and when she fired up everything is fine put it in reverse and there was a long long delay then i felt the shift moved it back put in drive and nothing. It is low on tranny fluid would that stop it from moving in drive?

If you have enough line left a compression fitting would be better than a regular rubber line. ATF eats rubber after so long.

Good idea the hose i got is trans cooler hose but i get what your saying need to more tubing though but can not enough atf cause the truck to not shift right i know i lost a lot of fluid replacing the line. Started truck stated fine ledt it run for a bit to check tranny fluid when i opened hood smelled like something almost burning checked tranny fluid just about bone dry i figured that is the issue but want opinions. I put a whole quart of atf it but barely seen anything on the dip stick and put a whole gallon of coolant in radiator yesterday. Please help really need my truck back on the road.

Your posts are very hard to read. If you put in a whole quart of ATF and it's barely on the dipstick I think the obvious answer is to put in more ATF.

i apologize if my post are hard to read doing this from my new phone and still getting familiar with it. I will add more atf to it tomorrow morning. I appreciate the help as you can tell im no master mechanic im average joe

its done

Well its done put another quart of ATF in and another gallon of coolant and she works perfectly

Parts stores carry 5/16" and 3/8" brake line that you can use for transmission coolers. You can flare the ends and use a union to connect them, just like you would on a brake line.
