I built a little utility trailer (well rebuilt off a frame) and only had to walk into the courthouse and pay a fee to get a vin and license plate...no hassle at all!

Hurray Colorado!

A pickup truck with it's axle centered under the bed is easily loaded
to be excessively tailheavy.

Thus the other part of the reason for the two gas tanks...

Moveable ballast, if the trailer is tail heavy fill the front tank.
as you offload stuff either transfer that fuel to the tow vehicle
or pump it to the aft valve.

I already made my fuel distribution block with a pair of lab grade
3-way valves, flip the valve lever the right way and switch on
the pump and the fuel goes to the other tank.

This was more of a poll to see all peoples pros and cons on building vs buying, I don't plan on having a trailer too soon but it may happen in the future to haul around a Suzuki or a BII.

So you were just jerking us around then.
