So, I traded my Ranger this morning for an Explorer my ranger was a 94 XLT ext. cab 4x4 4.0 5 speed with 172k on it, bald 31s manual hubs and needed work, it wouldnt pass inspection as is. So I traded it to the previous owner (pwrranger88) for his explorer, its a 91 eddie bauer 4.0 4x4 auto with jeep manual hubs, good tires, it was inspected in november, 142k on it, no tranny slips, and the explorer came from california a couple years ago, its got new brakes around it, new ujoints, balljoints, fuel filter, all that good stuff, it needs nothing, and i got a bunch of rbv stuff too including a complete m5od swap for it, a 1350m, a new front bumper, a grill, 2 sets of front lights, a spare engine harness, and some other things, ill get some pics in the morning, but im deciding what i want to do with it, i want to keep it auto for a while and i have f150 spacers sitting, a 4in lift sitting and 33s with 15x8s sitting all in the basement, what should i do first? also, sometimes when the explorer is in neutral or park, it revs up to like 2,000-2,500 but if i shut it off or put it in gear it come back down, and the fuel gauge reads lower than it should, is there a simple fix for this?
