Torx bit size?

I am disassembling the dash on my 1987 Ranger and I am removing the harnesses on the steering column (so I can remove the steering shaft to pull the cab off the frame), but I am not finding a torx bit size in my set to remove the main ignition harness, anyone know what gives?

You need a smaller torx than what you have or are they security/tamper poof torx?

I see them listed as small as T2 in single digit increments thru T10 then in increments of 5. I’ve never seen a T1 but I cant believe they would skip that number and just start at 2. I’ve never seen a security type smaller than a 7 but I know I ain’t seen everything.

It's like it's an in between size. My Torx bits are either too big or too small. I tried to do a Google search but didn't dee anything in a cursory scan, that's why I posted here as there are more knowledgeable folks on this site.

What sizes is it between? Have you tried using an Allen wrench instead.

Sometimes Allen keys will work.
Also I think there is a t-27.

Here is a list of all the different Torx sizes, maybe you can measure with a caliper or something and use this chart to determine the right size torx.

I ended up picking up a set of Torx Plus bits as none of the Allen keys fit right. Thanks everyone!
