Holy Cow! I thought the worst destruction I have ever seen was the aftermath of katrina. Not so sure anymore. Glad you're ok.

This was a little F3!!! Wanna see damage? Look up
Pictures of the may 3rd tornado that went through Oklahoma City!! It was a F5....
Or Greensburg Kansas, it was a little town, wiped clean away.

Wow, glad you're OK...should be some work to clean that mess up though...last time a hurricane went through Barrie my parents were living about 4 miles south...worried because they weren't answering their phones and they lived in a trailer park...that for some reason are targets for these things...

Would help out if I was in the area for sure...the winds around here today are pretty strong...and gusty...another tail ender...

I have called trailer parks "Tornado Magnets" since i was a kid. It seemed like every time we had bad weather, a couple would get tossed around in one of the trailer parks.
Woodward made it to where if there wasnt a trailer allready there, you could not put one inside city limits. Its kinda nice, there are only 2 TP's left now, and there not to bad. The one that got hit was horriable with white trash and scum....

When you hit the city limits, it looks like a add for Solitare Mobile Homes. There friggin everywhere! ! !

I have seen pictures of the 1975 Omaha tornado, I can't imagine trying to deal the dent a big tornado would put in a big city...

Glad your O.K......sorry bout the people who didn't make it......

Those pictures make me want to dig. In my old job we used to dig and dig and dig when things looked bad. That looks bad.

Damn Todd I knew you were from NW OK but had no idea you lived in Woodward. Im glad to learn that you and your friends and family are alright. It was a hell of a weekend thats for sure. I was in Norman and there was a small tornado a few miles away from where I was. We were able to see the funnel as it lifted.

It makes me wanna dig too. Dig to put in a storm cellar.....
I have put it off for years, and now is the worst time to spend $$ for me. My wife has been outta work for almost a year with a back injury, and finally recovering from back surgury.
Im making more money than i ever have, and yet i am more broke than i ever have been!!!....!!!???

There is a whole days worth of storys to tell but i dont like typing on my phone that much... :-)

I watched a funnel saturday about 3pm (i think) for about an hour go right by Bouse Jct (412&281) and Waynoka.
Heard there was another Supercell behind it, to the southeast. Knew it was my chance to slide between the two storms, so i headed west on 412 back towards woodward. When we were about 5 miles west of Cederdale (ghost town) the radio started blasting with spotters saying they had a possiabe tornado on the highway at the Cederdale turn off!!!
I never even got rained on, i knew it was gonna be close i was watching the sky.
Anyway, drove all the way back to Woodward, got some light rain once, then sunny the rest of the way (10-15 miles).
Got home, cooked some hamburgers out on the grill, watched the storm i had just missed on tv put a tornado on the ground just west of waynoka, and continue on into Kansas putting down tornados.
Like is said, i had calmed down, my heart rate was back to normal, we were good!!!
About 10:15pm, looked at the radar, checked with storm prediction center, it all said it was over, mabey some rain later, but no storms!!!

I have heard so many storys of why the tornado sirens didnt go off its impossiable to know whats true.

All I do know is that on my end of town, they were not going off!!!!
I havent heard a single person say they heard them....

We have a close family friend that lives about 1/2 block from the worst hit part of town sais they were up watching TV, and they got a phone call saying there was a tornado in Woodward proper. The grabbed their son, and got in the saferoom. He said as he closed the door he could hear it, and his ears started popping. He said the sirens never sounded......

What I don't like is that our government always promise to support people after such hard disasters.. but what we can see - all the towns are ruined till now.

We dont need .gov help.... Were cleaning it up so fast its increadiable.
I had to go and help a neighbor get her grandbaby's stuff out of a house, and bring it to hers.

I was amazed at how clean it allready is! There were people everywhere, dozers, loaders, skid steers, dumptrucks, end dump trailers!!!
I love small town life! There are 15K people here (i think lol ) and everyone is helping everyone!
