Toby keith passed away.

saw that this morning before I left for work, was my daughters favorite, Alan Jackson isn’t looking too well himself either these days.

Of all the "Modern" country musicians, hell, probly all country musci stars ( Hank Jr. not inlcuded ), He was my favorite. I dont follow the genre or celebreties in general and didn't know he was sick.
R.I.P. Tobey Keith

I wasn't aware he was that old, not that 62 is old. RIP.

He's probably still putting a boot up someone's ass...

He will be missed.

He was an original. When his daughter was in college another girl told her she was white trash with money. When the daughter got home and told Toby, he used "white trash with money" as an album title.

Toby Keith. Hmm. YouTube personality doing offroad recoveries? Political figure? Did he race at King of the Hammers? Doesn't ring a bell.

:icon_twisted:

I woke up to my alarm radio saying, "we lost Toby Keith". I was thinking I misheard them, and they meant something else. Then again later on TV, they announced he had passed. Started my day sad. I really liked his music. He will be missed.

Yeah. I'm 62 myself. Haven't been in a Proctor Quack's office in eight years. Work out every single day and have a six pack on my abs. At 62!! No prostate problems and take zero meds. Lovin it!

Sad to hear about Toby, but I know he was sick. Don't know a single song of his either, not a country music fan in the slightest.

Awhile back he did some Ford F-Series commercials for us and he spent some time with our online ad group doing some photo shoots for TV spots and banner ads. I never got to meet him but was told by those that did that he was a real honest to goodness country boy as nice as you could imagine.

They'll be playing his music all day on WSM AM, they always do with an Opry member

He was kinda one of the last of the generation of country singers that came up blue collar and "normal". He worked on oil rigs before he started his career. Guys like toby, aaron tippin, joe diffie (rip), kershaw, all came up from very blue collar roots and it seemed like they remembered that humbleness.

Not saying the new crop of guys didnt...but they seem to act a bit more "star" then the older guys.

The starification has been going on for.. half a century at least.. probably more. Evidenced by "are you sure hank done it this way" by Waylon.
