Going from a TK trans to a M5od and the speedo cable that runs to the transfer case is way to short now. Looking at Rockauto, they offer a 72" and 80" cable. Which one should I use?

Don't look it up for an 83, look it up for an 88. There should only be one cable that year and it will work for you.

They used to make speedo extension cables, 3" to 20", but with the switch to electric speedos in the mid-1990's they may no longer be around.
