Thought Dual tanks was only on Long beds

A few days ago while driving along I saw a extended cab 90-92 Ranger painted like pic shown & had 2 fuel tank doors. Looked like a all stock 4wd even had the alloy outlaw style wheels. Just curious as this didnt look like a modification.

Nope. My 88 F-150 had them, and it wasn't a long bed.

Probably a conversion since 88 was the last year for dual tanks.

They came on shortbed extended cabs, the tank i have came out of one. But they didnt come on second gens..

I have a 84 S that was converted to duel tanks. Used parts from a 88.Took out fuel pumps in tanks

I knew it had to be original,even though I may of been wrong on the years as it was passing me on a 3 laned road & didnt actually see the front end.

281Ranger (short bed, std cab) added the rear tank and deleated the normal one on his '98' and you would never know the difference. It's called quallity craftman ship.
