Things are getting ridiculous

You can also do cash payments to RockAuto at 7-11.

Really???????

Shit.

But as far as delivering, i think its done nothing but breed laziness. I got a buddy who orders paper towels and things off amazon.

I ask him, "isnt it eaiser just to drive 3 minutes up to the dollar general?"

He says "why should i leave my house if i dont have to?"

I dont get it.

Yes. You order, you select cash as your payment method, and then print out some slip they have, drive down to 7-11, give that and your money to the cashier, and your order gets processed.

I haven't do it, since the nearest 7-11 is stupid far from me for stuff like that, but if I had one closer I'd think about doing it to keep my payment info off the web. Not that I've ever had a problem with it, but if given a choice between putting it out there and not, I'll not.

agreed.
idk if Florida even has 7/11's. But I am also a fan of as little info on the interwebs as possible. Even though they could hack me anyways. Hell, if one of those identity thieves tried to steal my info, they would probably feel sorry for me and PUT money in my account:icon_rofl:

I use PayPal whenever possible. They are pretty secure, they stand behind their security, and they are the only ones who get to look at my banking info. Everyone else only gets to see the PP stuff, so I see that as an added layer between my info and prying eyes.

For being such a common name, is 7/11 that big of a chain? I don't know as I have ever seen one in real life.

They are not as big as they used to be.

I got one about 20 min from me lol.

I dont order alot from rock auto anyways.

The part might be 10 bucks, then after they tack on the 12.99 shipping its 22.99 and i can buy the thing at auto value for 25 and have it in my hands, inspect it, etc.

I think Hollywood made it famous. Was "The clerks" at a 7/11. Pretty sure Bill & Ted visited one. Back 2 the Future?

I must be missing out on all this new technology. a few weeks ago I actually walked to the Ford dealer to get my truck after the airbag work. got a few strange looks too. maybe 'cause I was wearing a red jacket on Dec 22 ?? :icon_confused:

Clerks was Quick Stop in Leonardo, NJ.

IIRC, Bill & Ted was a Circle K.

This is what I used to tell people when I worked for Advance and they complained that some stuff under $30 was double what RockAuto wanted. I'd always ask "OK, and what is it after shipping?"

When I go shopping for car parts I get the same carts set up at Rock, Advance, and Amazon, get all my discounts in, and see who comes out lowest. Unless I have a lot of struts or unit bearings Advance almost always ties RockAuto, or gets close enough that I'll pay the extra to have it today. Sometimes I have to send it in multiple orders to use multiple rewards coupons, but I'll take an extra two minutes to do it again if it saves me $20. That's like making $600 and hour.

Every year when I drop my truck off for inspection I have to turn down a ride home 3 or 4 times. The place I go is 2.5 miles from my house, most of it down hill, I throw my bike in the bed and ride home.

PJ... they probably all thought they were being filmed for the new film... Bad Santa 2
