well the truth hurts huh?

serious, i have been here a short time and i see a pattern.

i have been around a long time and i know patterns. theres a few "others" here that have things in common with the "anti mod" people.

it doesn't go unnoticed.

the guy asked a question, instead "you" flamed him for wanting to install an electric fan because you feel the need to force your beliefs on him.

heres an idea, just express your feelings and then leave it alone.

were you waiting for me to respond before , and when i said a difference between a superduty and a ranger , i do not tow alot , if i were to tow alot i would consider switching to an e-fan , but i do not view my ranger as a tow vehicle , that is what our 00 F-150 and 95 F-Super Duty are for

what truth?

if youll kindly check the first page, you'll notice that i was trying to help the OP by explaining the sending unit setup to him. then i asked him what was wrong with his factory fan (i was curious if he was doing this as a "mod" or as a "fix" for a broken fan). it wasnt until McCormack posted an entire post geared toward attacking my statement that i felt compelled to defend said statement. i never flamed the OP. in fact, i havnt flamed anyone other than you so far :icon_thumby:

i have to take wickeds side , he was helping the op , and just trying to find out if it was a mod or a fix , and then mccormack came in and started shit , which , btw , what happened to him , 04 i have nothing against you , but mccormack it seem was just trying to start a shit storm , so if you would both kindly come to a cordial agreement that you each have your own opinion , and you respect each others differences , and we can get down to finding this mccormack , as i have a few choice words for him

and talking of which;

beef, you could try drilling and taping the t-stat housing, but id be careful as its aluminum which is easy to mess up. you might try using a steel insert (helicoil) to ensure the sensor doesnt blow out once the system is up to pressure. sorry i didnt respond to this before...i got a little...ah..carried away :icon_thumby:

okay, now that we are past all of that,:D
One more little add on to the argument just tryin to clear this up. I got a set of fog lights in my grille, do they affect my milage due to extra load on my alternator? Im not trying to start any shit(or keep it goin, whichever way you choose to look at it) Im just wondering. Also is it a bad idea to just have the fan turn on when i turn the igition on???
Thanks, for all your opinions guys, even though it did get a little out of hand
I really appreciate all the help i get around here!!!!

Yes it is a bad idea to set it up so it comes on whenever the ignition is on, you can over cool an engine. If it doesn't get up to operating temperature your fuel mileage will go for a dump.

yes, overcooling is bad for your motor in a bunch of ways. keep the temperature switch.

your fog lights do put a higher load on the alternator (and thus, engine) when they are on...but its such a small amount (less than 150 watts), that you arent going to notice a decrease in mileage.

KEEP??? the temp switch, i havent figured out where to put it yet!!!!
