Tailgates with white "Ford"

Does anyone know which models/years had the simple white Ford on the tailgate. I presume it was based on the vehicle trim.

I pulled the aluminum cover off my '88 XLT with the original plan to paint the Ford white. I may put carriage bolts in the attachment holes for the cover. But that is a lot of bolts and I'd rather just have an original tailgate sans holes.
