T18/19

So, I haven't been on here in a while; been over on the desert sites trying to soak up as much beam building info as I can but I wanted to ask a question of you swap-this-for-that gurus...

I'm in need of a new transmission but I don't wanna just drop in a remanufactured M5OD. Anyone know what all would be involved in swapping in a T18 or 19 or any other medium-duty, workhorse four speeds (I know the T19 is a 5 speed). I've got plans for the truck as far as suspension goes and want something with a little more umph than what the M5OD offers.

I've always known the T19 as a four speed, I've got one in my diesel.The T-19 is similar to the T-18 except first gear is synchronized.
