t-case hook up from manual tranny to automatic?

there's a guy who prolly has a manual t-case (1354 BW) that i wanna swap out my electric one for. WELL, its coming out of a 5 speed and mine is automatic... it should still work right? As in everything will still bolt up?
 
good to go just make sure you get all the linkage, rods, vent hose, and floor pan unless you want to do some cutting. make sure you get the little plastic spacer bonnin peice for the shifter. it goes between the shifter and linkage.
 
I thought I had read someplace that all Rangers, even if they don't have the manual t-case, have a removable plate in the floor for the shifter.
Maybe just certain years?

Can anyone confirm or deny this?
