i cranked my tbars all the way. fender to floor was 36 1/8". went down the street and hit some speed bumps a few times came back and measured again. was 35" on the left and 35 1/8" on the right. did i do something wrong?:icon_confused:

readjust it to match, take for a ride again and check it & repeat till it doesnt change,we had to do it that way on my buddies explorer.

his rode like a brick, and just in case you dont know dont hit any big bumps hard cuz torsion bars will break!!

bolts are still cranked all the way....do i just loosen and re crank or what?

loosen the side that is higher(lower it) to the same as the lower side.

then take it for a ride.remember both sides arent exactly equal.

its probably lower on the left b/c of the gas tank.

i have the back and the front the same lvl now. but im worried b/c driver side is cranked all the way and the passenger is about 4-5 ull crankes from max. is this going to hurt me when i go wheeling?

it shouldnt its gonna beat you to death though. like i warned b4 if the front compresses far & hard enough the tbar will break, seen it happen on a f-150 w/ tbars cranked just for leveling

also it only gave you 2''? we got around 3.5'' on the explorer just to see how far it would go

from the 1st time i did the udjusting it was at about 3" when i took it for a ride it compressed down to 2" and 2 1/2. so i adjusted the other side down to 2". 1 bolt is fully adjusted in and the other about 7 turns from full

oh i forgot the explorer is 2wd that probably makes the difference.

you going w/ a body lift or you gonna squeeze 33s under it like it is.

im going to lift it in the near future. after that ill throw on some 33'sx12.5.

now , i have a quick question , is there enough threads on the bolts to get 2 inches of lift , i was told by a mechanic that i would not have enough thread to achieve 2 inches of lift

ok , cause i bought a set of belltech 6400 shackles , and i want about 2 inches of lift , i only have 31's on it , but i looks funny with 31's and a stock suspension , so i am gonna lift it 2 inches

As most people will tell you, cranking your T-Bars to the max is not advised. Not only will it stiffen the ride, it screws with your alignment and your CV joints will be shot within no time.

the bolts are maxed...but i dont think the t-bars are. if that makes sence. or im wrong. dont have to much exp. in the area. i had them at 36 1/2 and now they are down to about 35 1/2. and i started at 33 3/4 any input?
