synthetic Transmission fluid 08 FX4 5spd manual, 4L V6

I'm going to drain and replace the tranny fluid, I want to use a synthetic oil and am looking for any recommendations.

Your question could very well get all kinds of replies w/ different opinions. I wouldn't want to question those, as they may very well have merit. The fact that you are willing to be proactive and change your transmissions fluid is to be applauded. I would advise you to go w/ what Ford recommends. You can't go wrong and if something would to happen down the road, you would not be questioning this decision.
