i changed the sway link on my 2000 ext cab 4x4 and after i got it back together the truck bounces hard over a bump or pothole. seems to do it real bad at 45-55mph. ive been driving it with the links broke for a while with no problems except it drove shitty. i have 33 12.5 tires on it that i just had balanced before i put the links on. is there anyway to get them too tight? i loosened them up with little improvment. i know the truck needs alligned but its not so bad that you can't drive it till now. the truck has several miles on now but this popped up only after i changed the sway links. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

How many miles on the truck? Might be needing new front shocks. Push down and bounce 1 corner of the suspension, it should settle after a couple of cycles, if it bounces a lot its time for shocks. also check if they are leaking oil.

it has about 175,000 on it right now. and im sure it probably needs shocks, the ride is so stiff you can't tell, when i bought the truck the previous owner had cranked the bars, probably to fit the 33s. but it has never done anything like this before, and i didnt start untill i changed the sway links.

i have an update on my situation. I made an appointment to get the ball joints, tierods, and shock put on, but after that i went to drive it to our shop and i wasn't bouncing. i guess the suspension wasn't settled because now it drives like it always did. but i am still going to get the work done, dont want anymore problems.
