Your right it is all about the driver. My buddy who the is the owner of the cobalt ss. Did 13.9 don't know the speed in the 1/4 mile with nothing more, than high flow cats, magnaflow muffler, and pulstar plugs. Its all about the driver
A high flow cat and good exhaust does a lot in a supercharged car, i knocked 4 tenths off my 1/4 in my buick by putting in a 3" downpipe, magnaflow cat, and deleting the resonator.
And to the original poster, have you actually ran it at the track? The 4.0l isnt really all that fast, mine runs a 16.8 totally stock, with ported heads with stock everything else you're looking at maybe low 16 high 15s.. it takes cams and superchargers or nitrous to get them into the mid 14s.
