Any tips for mounting steering dampener on a 97 with Dana 35, 6" skyjacker lift? Got the recommended dampener from skyjacker, but can't seem to find a good spot for mounting it. Any suggestions? Anybody else ran into clearance issues with this?

On my Explorer it would bind up if I mounted it like they show. I fixed this by dropping the one end (engine crossmember) by using 2x2 square tubing (2 pieces about 4" long, stacked one on top of the other). It levels the stabilizer out and doesnt bind it up on the tie rod. I did the same thing on my Ranger, but with a Rancho kit....

Its not like there is a ton of pressure on the stabilizer (like a shock) so this mount works. I did bind one up on my Ranger in the rocks once and broke the stabilizer shaft (not the mount).

Main thing is to be level or close to it....

I like that! I had considered modifying the idler arms length and angle to allow me to use the Skyjacker pitman arm I have. I think it would give about 2ish inches of drop.
