Stupid question.. Bed tent for the Ranger??

Yea I like a hard shell for sure. Slows bears, murderers and such down, no soggy wet tent, secures junk better, no setup/ takedown time, no shoveling snow out the back all winter ect.

Well Weezl I spose it all depends on your creativity level, lol but with 6' feet of leg room eventually the bodies will pile on top of each other.

Ahh now that I think about it, rhy didn't say it in typical tent sizing... They said it sleeps 2, where as normally they would say its a 2 man tent...

why not build an offroad trailer with a roof top tent.. talk about sexiness there!

that way its easy to set up and you can store all your gear in the trailer, no loading and unloading... just hook up to the trailer and drive off!

Do you have a build thread for that thing?!

I hate to revive an old thread, but I kinda have an idea. You could take an old army tent, build a canopy shell, and cut the tent to the shape you want it. My friend did it with his Yota and it looks really good. I'm guessing a twin sized blow up mattress would be perfect but I only have a shortbed. You can get the tent at a surplus store for like $20.

I've got a Softopper, just used it dirt biking this weekend, absolutely poured the whole time and never got wet inside, it's nice as it literally takes 2 minutes to set up bed you can retain the full functionality of your truck. Also much more sturdy than the bed "tents", slept through a wind storm at the top of a ridge in Eastern WA that was strong enough to rock the truck back and forth and the top didn't flutter a bit.
