So I have a new clutch slave installed just over 1000 miles ago and last Saturday just cruising along the clutch line pops off the trans at the QD fitting.
Some sluething here told me the issue and I have it towed to a mechanic to see what the issue is and he says the clip is pooched and it needs a new slave.
My question here is, while searching for 'fixes' people have done is there anything you can do to make this a 'permanent' fix and get rid of the silly QD part ? I found the AN line adapter but it still uses the factory female portion of the QD and that's what I want to get rid of altogether.
When I got away for road trips in hundreds of miles in the bush and something as ridiculous as the pos QD thing needs to GO.
