Stripped screw on vibration dampener

So yesterday I changed out the fluid in my transfer case on my 2000 B4000. When I was reinstalling the vibration dampener one of the 4 bolts kept spinning. I took the bolt out and noticed metal coiled around some of the threads. I cleaned up the threads and applied some blue loctite on the bolt and put it back in. The other 3 screws are fine. Is it worth doing something to fix that last bolt hole's stripped condition?

Is it possible to rethread that hole?

It's pretty easy to install a "heli-coil" if you have a straight shot at the hole with a drill. Or you can drill and tap for the next size bigger bolt.

I never even put the damper back on my truck. It is what I consider to be "superfluous" and "in the way" two things that I do not tolerate in combination.

Thanks guys, it seems to be holding up just fine with the 3 good screws. If I detect any looseness I'll probably just pull it for good.

I've always removed mine but also am willing to risk whatever results happen. There must have been some reason they were installed, as the oem is always looking to save money. Anyone have any ideas? Only thing I can think of is noise/vibration.
