Some of you guys may have read the post about the problems my wife Vanessa was having with an order she placed on 11/20 for some clear corners for my birthday (HERE).
She ordered a combo set of new headlights and clear corners for my 1996 Ranger (TRS-2). She received an email that there was a problem with her order and that she had to call them.
She called and was told they couldn't legally sell her clear corners. They then sold her a set that had an orange reflector piece in the clear corner that apparently has to be there.
She went back and forth with this company trying to get tracking information to make sure they arrived before my birthday on the 5th (yesterday). Nobody would get back with her with the information like they said they would. Finally, she talked to their customer service manager Steve on the 2nd who said they were still in the warehouse and would get them shipped out.
Vanessa has really been stressing over this and the way they've been giving her the runaround.
The package showed up on the 4th, the day before my birthday. On the 5th, we celebrated my birthday and I knew she was nervous about me liking the present, especially since it wasn't her first choice.
I opened it up and guess what was inside........
Some headlights for a damn BMW.
You have no idea how much it pisses me off to know people were giving my wife the runaround and then have to see her cry on my birthday because she was trying to buy me something really nice (headlight/clear corner combo) and the company screwed with her and then didn't even send her (me) the right part.
It's not even close to being the right part. It's for a BMW and isn't even a clear corner combo kit.
Now I get to look forward to calling these people on Monday and trying to get these stupid lights returned and getting her money back.
I've had a couple of occassions where I had a distributor ship a customer a part and it was wrong. It just happened. I sent the customer a prepaid UPS tag to ship the part back and sent them the correct part before even receiving the wrong part back to try to make it right.
I'm not paying to ship these headlights back. Street Beat Customs is going to have to pay for it. They're going to have to credit back her account and I'll just have her give me the money and order them myself.
I'm really pissed that I have to wait another day before I can call them. I tried calling them yesterday, but they're closed on Saturdays.
My recommendation for our viewers is:
DO NOT BUY FROM STREET BEAT CUSTOMS!!!!
