Strange things

Hello, I have an 07 level ll 4.0 Ranger. Was driving home when I lost all electrical functions, no gauges, fan, windows. Nothing would work but the truck continued to run! Got it home and shut it off and nothing. Changed alt. and charged battery. Started it up and let it run with all functions on. Half hour later it did the same thing, no electrical functions but truck kept running til turned off, then nothing again. Very strange, any ideas where I would start looking would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Start at all the battery conections. Especially look at the solenoid and all the wires connected to it. Wiggle and pull on all connections and even try to pull the wires apart as there may be a bad fusible link. Check all the fuses too. Something is getting hot and expanding losing connection.
