would step bars from a 2000 ranger fit on a 1993? found a set on craigslist for 25 bucks, but need to be sanded and painted. i figured if they fit i'd take the wire wheel to them, and then spray them with bedliner.

If they don't you can make them fit. For that price who cares about modifying them, plus you'd likely be the only or one of the few with that mod.

The only issue that you might have is that if you have a regular cab truck. the 2000 will be 3 inches longer, so that *might* make your step bars a tad too long, but as killjoy said, for 25 bucks, why not. have them cut down if needed, or if it is too much, sand them down and prep and paint them and sell them for 100 bucks.
