i just picked up the leafs today.. i just wanna know what else is gunna be needed for the swap.. can anyone direct me to a thread about this???

I've got a set of 63s in the back of my ZJ.

Flexy MOFOS.

You'll have to grind the rivots and move the front hangers forward. Ranger springs are like 54 or somethin inches long opposed to 63s.

You should get between 3 and 5 inches of lift with a stock set of 63s so you might be in need of longer shocks.

Be sure to check the bushings and bolts

So you'll need a grinder.
And a drill.
And beer.

And beer.

Good luck

its really an easy swap. tons of lift, and flex,,(no pic does justice) but i ran 63s with ex shackles and driveshast is a hair to short, but im sas in it so i need new anyways

They are a very easy swap, although you may need to loosen your gas tank straps and move it over to get the nuts on the driverside hanger bolts.

Here's my truck running a set of 5.5" lift 63's, rest of the spec's are in the sig...

no work tommorow or sunday so im gunna try my hardest to get it done this weekend.

thanks alot, i feel better about doin this now.

ill keep you guys updated.

and one more question, will i have any problems with the carrier bearing or any clearence issuses

you a reg cab or extended? I had to swap to a 1 piece shaft when I went over 3-4"s of lift.

wow i guess this kind of job can get expensive when you dont have the right tools. im already -$500 but what can i say, i spent it well.

so i got it all torn down and im starting to get the leafs mocked up, getting most of the rivets out was a snap with the drill, hammer, punch, grinder.. and some broken knuckles

its too late to go any further so im waitin till tommorw..
but now im debating puting longer shackles on, is this nessesary?? cause getting brake lines and a one piece driveshaft is going to have to wait

Or if you screwed up like me and use them for major droop.....Post pics when ya get a chance.
