any of you guys running the x-locks on your d-35? im not too fond of the jam nut system cauz no matter how tight i go they manage to loosen in a few hunderd miles and eat my berings:annoyed:. im just not to sure about dropping over $100 on something that a company says works i like to know it works. any info would be great

sorry if someone already posted this i always get side tracked on other posts and it ends up getting late and i havent found the info i need

They don't fit inside the hub on your D35 so they are out of the question.

You're not doing something right if the bearings are failing that often. I've had the same set of wheel bearings in my truck for over 5 years now, and i'm rolling on 36" swampers. Sure I take everything apart and clean it and repack it a couple times a year, but I have never had a problem with them coming loose.

Torque the inner lock nut down to 35 ft lbs while rotating the the brake rotor back and forth to work the grease in, tighten again and rotate again. Back off the inner nut 90 degrees and then torque to 16 INCH lbs (just hand tight) install the washer. Torque the outer lock nut down to 225-250 ft lbs while making sure the inner nut does not move.

Unless something has changed in the past six months, those will not work on a TTB Dana 35. They will go on, but there is no hope in hell that the lock hub will go over them. It truly is unfortunate that they don't (as of six months ago) work with the Dana 35 TTB axle. After seeing and trying them, they are a true work of art.

But like Sasquatch said, they shouldn't be needed if you torque the outer locknuts down to 225ft-lbs or so. I also have never had one come loose when torqued to that (the 150ft-lbs the service books call for is the problem, not the nuts).

well i modified the tab on the washer and locktighted the nuts on so hopefully they stay in place now
