Hi,
I have a Mazda Navajo 4x4 6 in lift James Duff radius arms, shock buckets,
1997 8.8 rear 31 splin from Explorer disk brakes, 700r 4 converstion manual transfer case. Detrot locker rear and Auburn E lock front. i picked up a set of stage 8 x lock's for a d 30,35,44. i was told that they fit the ttb front end if you have warn manual hubs. they do not fit over the hub. stage 8 tech department said that they fit but glen did not know the model number of the right hub, he said he's a Chevy guy. i have 29071 hubs. i read that 37780 will fit and there stronger than the 29071 hub. I looked up the 37780 model and I get two different hubs one is a hat and the other is a full size type. Do you know the right hub for this application.

Part# 37780 is the exact same physical dimensions as pt# 29071 ("top-hat" style), just stronger.

The Stage-8 nuts will not fit inside them just the same.

If your locknuts are coming loose, what works for most people is to just torque the stock outer locknut to 250ft-lbs instead of the book spec of 150. This seems to keep them tight just as well as anything else, and costs nothing.

Hope that helps, and welcome to TRS. :icon_thumby:

I'm working on a positive lock nut for the manual hubs

It'll basically be a manual hub type of nut, but it'll use
the "key" from the manual lock nuts and the perf washer.

it'll still allow the use of an outer locking nut.
(Belt AND suspenders on a union suit)

I haven't decided on a name yet.
But I have several names in consideration.
