Finished the stage 1 lift and i also used 3” rough country rear leaf springs instead of the add a leaf. Swapped in better condition axles with 4.10 gears. I need an alignment really bad but its done. Im forsure gonna need a body lift to fit my 33x10.5 so thats soon on the list but this is good for now. I think the rear should settle some?

I believe rough country only offers a 4" rear spring pack correct?

The leaf springs still had to labels on them and they said 3" leaf springs on them. I assume there from the 4 inch kit but I'm not sure. They were on another bronco I have for parts.

Any factory block under them?

nope no block in the rear just leaf springs to the axle. Maybe i could get some kind of adjustable shackle.

Kcm,

It looks nice. I've done it both ways: the 87 Ranger with a 2" suspension/4" body lift and 87 BII with a 4" suspension only. They both needed fender trimming with 32's. With that beautiful lift, a set of Bushwacker Cutouts will give your BII the room needed for 33's; I like this solution much better.

Score. Much better sir. Check out @ecgreen he's running 33/1050's on that setup with no issues.

The only difference of why I can see he could clear 33s is how the front of the front fender doesn't come down as far on the 89/90s. I might be able to clear them I'm not sure!

Good point I plan to slice mine off at the body line on both fenders for but yours looks much cleaner than mine.. and probably has a lot different purpose.

mine just a daily driver i have another im going to build into something so ill probably end up getting the duff body lift to make the 33s fit

Looks awsome! And I have always wanted that year in that color...if you ever sell, let me know!

Yes the rear should settle. Did you wait to get the truck on its own weight before you torqued the shackle bolts?

I bet you can fit skinny 33s with some minor trimming. Dont forget, if you do a body lift you will have a gap between the fender and the body. If I were to squeak out some extra height in your situation, I would maybe look at a coil spacer up front and a small block in the back. Of course, I am not a fan of seeing too much wheel well, just my preference.

Yeah, first gen fenders weren’t as accommodating as second gen. I was able to run 33s on my second gen with 3” of suspension lift and I clear 35’s nicely with 5” of suspension and a 2” body lift.

currently have 30s on my first gen and even those are a little close to the fenders. I fear that you either need a lot of lift or have to trim fenders on the first gens to clear much tire

Never knew that about 1st and 2nd gen fenders. Learn something new every day!

Yup. The rear wheel openings were the same. First gens the front fender opening is kinda shaped more like a taller rear opening, which wouldn’t be a huge problem if you didn’t desire to ever turn the wheel with larger tires. If I think about it later I will try to get a pic or two
