I have a '98 Ranger 4x4 with a 4.0 V6 and I'm getting a high pitched squeal from the wheels when driving. I recently replaced the entire break system (pads, rotors, calipers, drums, hoses, wheel cylinders, etc) and had it checked by a professional. The squeal is not coming from the brakes; applying the brakes does not stop the squealing sound. Although it's a high pitched metal-on-metal sound, it is not very loud. I can only hear it when I doing 25mph or less and only with the windows down. I can't figure this out, but it's damn annoying. Please help!
