I'm replacing the drivers side spark plugs.. Go figure. The hard side. I was able to get (from left to right) the first plug and boot out. The 2nd plug boot broke with a little rubber left on the spark plug. I was able to slide my socket over the rubber and reach the spark plug and I was able to get it out. Now the 3rd plug boot is half way broke and the space I have to work with is getting smaller. The intake manifold is right over top of this plug. I've used the string method but the boots keep breaking. Any suggestions?

I got the 3rd boot out. Trickled a little motor oil into the boot hole to loosen the rubber over the spark plug. Was able to wiggle it around and pull out with a pair of channel locks. I pray this 4th one will be easy for me ? Yea right..

This is why I don't do plugs without wires.

The new set got all of the above. Finally got them all done. It was definitely a PITA. I wouldn't wish that first change of plugs on my worst enemy. I subscribed to this thread with immediate email notification for any replies and I never got emailed.
