Southern TRS'ers....Rusty needs a favor...

My wife is whining about the rust on her 2010 escape. Its not bad (by my standards) but it drives her nuts, and she agreed if i got it fixed she'd hold off taking on another payment...

Either way...can people in the general KY, SE IN, Northern TN, Southern WV, areas point me to some good yards that stock a good amount of late(r)model stuff?

Ill pry be going this summer to find a hatch...if the Covid shit dies down...

Any help is apperciated.

I see quite a few of the 2nd gen Escapes in the Indianapolis Pull A Part and the Indy U pull U Pay yards. most that I have seen of that era in the yard are not too bad bodywise.

It would cost 400 bucks to ship one that far lol. Not to mention what kinda shape itd be in when it got here.

See, when you said SOUTH, i thought you meant THE south. All the states you listed are not very southern. They may be south of you but are northern states to me. If it snows every year, it aint the south. Just my $.02

I dont wanna run clear to 'bama or georgia but i would if need be.

Spicially if gas is still 1.27 a gallon. If its 3bucks+ its gonna be a pricy trip ridin a 460 down there.

heck, you should see the bottom edge of the hatch on my ‘11 escape. its real bad. was sold new in the state of new york. Ive not even started looking for a hatch yet, I did check rock auto, can get a hood but no back hatch. mines too far gone to reconstruct. looks ok from the outside and rest of vehicle is ok.

Thats how hers is. The bottom of the hatch is bad, as is the driverside wheel arch. Other tben that its beautiful other then your common little dings and scratches from everyday battle.

Its got 160,000 almost and runs excellent yet, as much as i dont like it (not my style) its been a good lil rig. Im surprised shes cool about keeping it, she usually freaks when stuff hits 100k mi.

Nah. Unfourtantly lol. Im not after a wholr parts car, just the hatch. If i ever needed anything mechanical theres plenty in yards around here. Just none ive seen that aint rusted.

Nah its been going on for a few years now. But ie just now bad enough to irritate her.
