Somethin ive never seen...

Ran across this bad boy for sale online...

Now, before someones a smart ass, yes ive seen automatic climate control. But i thought it was all done on a slider untill the 90s. This thing looks very early-mid 80s. In all the time ive spent in junkyards, online, etc i have NEVER seen one like this, nor seen one in a vehicle.

Im guessing it was in high end vic/marquis/town cars....but anyone know anything?

Im just curious mostly.

Dad's '92 GMC is digital, it sucks.

It has real buttons but you have to "walk" the thing from warm to cold. IMO it is the answer to the question nobody asked.

That's close, but not exact. That one has lines around some of the labels to separate the buttons into groups.
