SOLVED: Brand new alternator junk? (Nope...bad ignition coil)

Hard to believe that a coil would go bad after only 32 years. Sure don't make 'em like they used to.

It always feels good to whoop a head-scratcher. Congratulations !

People always give you crap for saving old parts- until you blow the dust off one and fix something with it. I really enjoy fixing stuff- especially if I can fix it for free. Somedays you're the hydrant, today you're the dog.

You're right. I doubt the next one will last that long.

I just rebuilt a section of my fence for free...after realizing I have more than enough lumber and hardware hoarded to do the job.

As a side note, the throttle was always jumpy on this truck in 4-low. Much better now!

Mine is one those 10x17 HF tents. one side lumber, the other side steel and aluminum stock. Down the middle is an A frame holding sheets of plywood, plexi, and glass.
