Anybody know what gear ratios came in the 88 4x4s? No reason just curious as to if they started putting the 4:10s in the axles yet and what gear ratios were available back then

3.45, 3.73, and 4.10, but you will probably only find the 4.10s in a vehicle with an auto trans. It was a weak setup that broke frequently behind a manual.

According to my 87 owners manual, they *only* put 4.10's behind an automatic. I swapped a manual into my truck and didn't have any problems with it, even with the 4.0
