Silicone lube for plasma cutter?

I just got a Miller 375 extreme plasma cutter. The consumables kit comes with a tube of silicone grease and I'm not sure if it is just to lube the o-ring or if it is for anything else. The manual doesn't mention what it is for, do you know?

Could be for the o-ring on the shield, or 'anti-splatter' grease for inside it I'd google it..... I know we don't use anything on ours?

its more than likely just to lube the o-rings...wat color is it?because just about ever "anti-spatter" grease/jelly i ever seen was like a blueish color

The silicone grease is for the O ring. This keeps the o-ring sealing properly.

I did a short search in the internet and didn't find any answers. I was thinking that it could also be used for the treads on the cup. I was wondering if it could be to coat everything else like an antisplatter protectant. With my MIG welder, I will clean the tip and nozzle and then coat everything with an antisplatter spray. I was wondering if something like that is needed for the plasma cutter.

The color of the grease is clear and the folks from Miller (I asked them as well) said that only use a little on the O-ring and nowhere else. The rest of the componets are to be use dry and clean without antisplater or anything else.
