So I won a bumber on ebay for $150. Now the guy is having a hard time getting it to me from FL. He says he is tired of hauling it around and wants to just call it off! He says he tried UPS Fed Ex, some other Pack and Ship place. Now I dont have anymore ideas of how to get it to my house. Some one please tell me some other ways to get the thing here.
Thanks in advance.

Depending on how heavy it is, it might be best for him to take it to a freight company. That way they can secure it to a crate and ship it to you.

We bought some walk behind trenchers off ebay, and we had to arrange shipping from here. So we got in touch with a freight company and all the seller had to do was drop it off at their loading dock. They took care of the rest.

How much did the freight company charge?
And how do you get greyhound to do it?

Yo,
I think the freight company charged $600. However, the trencher did weigh about 800lbs and took up a pallet 4'x8', and was shipped from the midwest to our store here in WA.

I had greyhound send a 200lb amateur radio unit and they cost me 42.00, the cost of the fair if it was a person. just take it to a greyhound ticket office and talk to them.

fed ex and ups will both do freight too. also, check with DHL

Unless you have an account relationship with Fed-Ex, DHL, or UPS, shipping will be very, very, very expensive. I also tried local private freight carriers and they were even more. It does save on shipping when shipping to a commercial dock(business). Fuel Sur-charges are actually the largest part of the bill when shipping these items. I know UPS freight can be set-up thru a local private UPS office. Many of these carriers deal thru franchise style stores, (ex: The UPS Store ). If you have any friends or relatives that could possibly set up shipping thru their business, that can save you alot of money.

Good Luck!!

well, what they did was put it in the luggage compartment. I had to be there and load it, and someone had to be there when the bus arrived to claim in from the baggage compartment.
