Ok, I have been searching the forum and can't find any instructions for shifting into and out of 4wd.

I just got this 97 auto 4.0 extcab but it doesn't have a manual so I could really use some tips on using the 4wd and going back to 2wd.. it's got the switch on the dash and auto hubs so if anyone could point me to a thread or other place with instructions or a quick list of do's and don'ts I sure would appreciate it...

thanks..

You can shift in and out of 4 high on the fly. You have to be at a complete stop, with your foot on the brake and trans in neutral to shift in and out of 4 low. To make sure the auto hubs are unlocked after disenguaging 4x4 simply backup for a few feet. Don't use the 4x4 on dry, bare pavement.

thanks for the info...
