Sharing an experience I had with Eastwood

I ordered the POR-15 Starter Kit from Eastwood via Ebay. It arrived and the Metal Ready had leaked a little in the box, and got on the foam brush (eating away some of the foam) that comes in the kit. I contacted them merely to ask if the Metal Ready was sensitive to being exposed to the air. They said that it "could be", and they would send me a replacement.

Well, I got the replacement today, and they sent the whole kit again. I was expecting just to receive the bottle of Metal Ready, but they gave me the entire Starter Kit. Customer service goes a long way with me, and I can assure you I will buy from them again.

So did I, but I appreciate the info. I am redoing some parts for my dads 1969 Mustang and was considering going through them for the POR.

I used to order Por15 right from the manufacturer and pick it up. I had a customer that was a few buildings away from them, so I used to stop in and check on their forklifts at the same time, that made it a business call. I dont think they let you do that anymore.


I've always had good luck when ordering other stuff from Eastwood. They're one of the good companies out there.

Speaking of POR and Eastwood.... they have a product under the Eastwood brand that is an internal frame coating. I think I might need a can for the F150.

Amen brother. I think sometimes the only reason why my company is still in business because we have awesome customer service. Every month we get ~10 customer compliments and 0-1 complaints. Its a metric we actually track in monthly staff meetings.
