Service/Parts Recommendations

my 2005 2wd has an elongated hole for the driver side lower control arm, forward position. it's from the factory that way.
there is nothing special about that bolt.
don't remember if the pass side had the adjustment hole.
See like he pointed to a lower control bolt but it looks like just a bolt to me.

The lower picture shows the square plates. So I believe that your mechanic is not 100% believing you & of what he's looking at. They both operate the exact same, square end plate or round. Rolling around on their sides to lift the upper A arm. If this is not completely clear, I would back off & find someone who is a bit more literate on the subject. This is a front end, there should be no confusion.

So I mentioned that and they said thats not it but mine are the factory ones with the square blocks.
Those square blocks are replaced with the round excentrics when adjustment is needed. Try to find a more experienced alignment tech.

Yes which is why I said I don't think there is an adjustment on stock which makes me wonder how they adjusted the one side at all. I may just do the cam swap myself.

It's possible they removed and repositioned the square blocks but it's unlikely they got the caster and camber to the preferred setting that way. If it's not set to preferred, it's not aligned properly.

the square blocks come with many different hole locations. the correct one was used at the factory to lock in the alignment.
I have also seen oval shaped plates that looked factory but can't verify them.
and of course the round aftermarket ones.
