Hello! My name is Jace Bryant, hence the username. I own an 87 Bronco II. I am currently in the process of swapping the transmission with the M5R1 thanks to the help from some kind people here. Recently, I have ran into issues at my job and am currently looking for another career. I wasn't previously employed as a technician but I've been a backyard mechanic for a little while. I am 22 and willing to move OUT OF STATE to get a job working with/or around Fords. Its what my family does and its what I want to do. I am sick of my hometown Reno, NV and would like a change of scenery. I took automotive classes in high school and worked at AutoZone for a short time. I most recently worked for the state of Nevada at a hospital for the criminally insane (I did that for two years) Obviously these things don't truly qualify me for a position, however I am willing to move locations, work hard, and start from the bottom if necessary. Any help locating a place to work/live and make this happen would be greatly appreciated. If relocation assistance is provided, that would seal the deal. Obviously pay is important because i'll be living on my own, but that's a later discussion. IDEALLY, I'd like to work as a Master Technician for Ford, like my uncle, father and grandfather.
I am nearly certain this post doesn't belong on this thread and I apologize for that. But I am new to the forum and this does give you a little insight into me. I hope to hear from you all.

Thanks,
Jace B.

as read..you seem ambitious.

master tech for fords....hell anything with an engine.... is one hell of a tall challenge.

i would start with all of the ford and ASE tests you can get to see where your studies need to be concentrated.

You're not looking for a job here, are you? Because we're all volunteer Ford nuts. Even if they pay you 10 times what I get, you'll still be sending Jim a check every year.

Seriously, I hope you find the job of your dreams soon. The way the economy is right now, that may not be easy. But your enthusiasm and bright outlook should help.

Oh, yeah.

You’ll feel right at home here.
Welcome and good luck finding a new career.
