I have posted this on another site but haven't any hits yet. Thought I would try here also.

I am in the final stages of prep prior to dropping the 5.0 into my 2002. Went by the local speed shop today and priced the product mentioned. I need it to disable PATS, and also disable the transmission functions as I am using a T5 behind the 5.0. To my dismay, I discovered that this is going to cost me in the range of $500 to $600 to purchase the handheld and to have it programmed to do what I need it to do!!! Is there a cheaper solution out there? Help!!!

I like Fred. He's good to work with an honest. See what he can do for you on an SCT X3 programmer.

Gotta-gofast,
Looked into their website, but there is no connection to email or no stated email in order for me to contact them. Do you have a number that you can share with me so I can talk with them personally. Also, do you know where thy are located. Thanks for the response.

I was looking to find out how to disable PATS also and found that the SCT could do this. Look around for a speed shop that will tune your car with an SCT tuner, I found someone local who said he would tune my PCM and I didn't have to buy one. As it turned out I didn't use him so I'm not sure of the cost but it had to be cheaper than purchasing the unit.

Try Tweecer.com havent used it but thats my plan. and they say they can disable pats.
