So, yesterday I picked up a 97 4.0L 4x4 and was wonderin what I should be looking in to taking care of outside of your general tune up stuff?

This afternoon I will be doing front pads, rotors, and bearings. just trying to see if I should keep an eye on anything else.

I would change ALL fluids: oil, coolant, trans fluid, t-case fluid, front & rear diff fluid, brake fluid, PS fluid.

I would change spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter.

Inspect suspension and steering components and tires. Maybe give it a good cleaning. That's about it, aside from fixing things that are broken.
