rust repair question

well I noticed when doing a oil change on my truck that my front core support is rusted out at the mounting points along with the frame brackets the bushings actually pulled threw the brackets... just wondering if theres anyone that remakes those mounting brackets cause I dont have access to a good welder for repairing it.

it would be for my 1991 ranger single cab 4x4.. I did check lmc and either I didnt look deep enough or they just dont make them. I also searched the internet and only came up with rear cab mount brackets and rear spring shackle brackets...

you could try asking a ford dealer if they can get it, or upgrade to a newer truck. lol

I'll try that and see if they have it... If not I'm gonna have to try and upgrade when have the funds

My '94 Had the core support replaced along the way. So they DO make them.

You mean where the body bushings are located? At the very front?

IF you had a good wirefeed welder, you could cut out all the old stuff(after you found a way to support the front, of course) and weld a piece of 1/8" plate with a hole the same size as the old one. That's what I did on mine.

But it sounds like that's not the only place where there's rusted out spots. If you have the time, I'd recommend replacing the whole radiator core support.

I finally got time to go the the ford dealership and turns out they close... and everyday I work they open and close the same time I start and leave work... sigh
