Reverse light switch on a manual transmission.

hello everyone I’m looking for a little help my name is Richard I have a 2004 Ford ranger edge with a 3 L V6 and a manual transmission. Just replacing my manual transmission now decided to put a new reverse light switch in as well as a high-speed cut off switch much easier to do it why the transmissions out LOL.My question is the high-speed cut off switch has an O-ring that seals to the transmission. The reverse light switch doesn’t have anything like a washer or any thread tape that need to go on it does anybody know if that can be or what I need to do it properly seal that to the transmission? Thanks for the help

This is what I need to make sure that I’m installing right does it require any kind of thread lock or sealant?
