I am needing to reseal the rear window in my 89 Ranger. I finally found out it was the window seal leaking and not the cargo light. The rear window is not a slider if that make any difference.

Is this something I can do myself or should I have a professional handle it?

Once I fix the leak I can finally replace my sagging headliner. :)

Not too hard to do. You will have to remove the interior trim around the rear window. The window itself is retained with nuts. Undo all the nuts and carefully pry out the window. Clean off all the old butyl foam tape from the glass and the opening. Get yourself a new roll of butyl foam tape, apply it to the glass. Make sure to put the start/stop seam at the bottom and over lap the ends of the tape. Reinstall into the opening and snug down the nuts that will retain it.
