Hello everyone,
My 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 is running on the same rear leaf packs since new.
Just turned 200,000 miles. Always carrying lots of tools for construction work, and looking to replace these springs with something heavier duty. Did some research and found my springs are rated for 1250 apiece new.
Any advice on heavier replacements would be appreciated.

Thanks for the responses. With my truck empty, the truck sits pretty level. How much would I expect 1750 pound springs to lift the rear up? Might be a very bumpy ride also.
Any other higher quality options out there, Explorer springs?
I was also looking at Timben bump stops and new springs as a option.

yeah....they will suck unloaded.

explorer springs are rated lower. but arched differently. under axle normally though can be sold after market set up either way.

I read that as your running with a load regularly.

with that I would run the hd spring. you will maintain normal ride height.

if your not normally over loaded...consider a set of air bags or air shocks.
