Hey everyone, I am trying to research replacing the motor mounts on my 2002; I believe one or both have failed; the truck exhibits drivetrain shutter when coming to a stop or launching from, and attempts to lurch forward whenever the AC compressor turns on. I've done some homework on this already and found someone who walked through doing this on a 2001, which involved largely disassembling the front suspension in order to access the mount holes, but I'm not sure this is the same procedure for a 2002 as to my understanding, the mounts were relocated slightly after Ford spun the Explorer off to it's own separate platform.
Is the procedure for replacing the motor mounts on a 2002 Ranger the same as for earlier models? If it is different, is there a forum post or some other guide that I can use to help me do this job? You guys here have been helpful so far, so thanks in advance for any help I can get here.
